I have decided to cease posting on WW, at least for the foreseeable.

Have explained my reasons on another thread. It is not a precipitous decision. I have shared over the past few months my disquiet concerning WW.

Yourself and I are clearly totally opposed when it comes to politics.

Nevertheless, we seem to have always been able to treat each other with dignity and respect: a quality which many on here are totally unable to attain.

I know this may be a big ask, but I would like to keep in touch, and wonder if you would consent to exchange of email addresses.

We both have in common, ties to a locality, and I have appreciated our discussion on plumbing matters.

Still, I totally understand should you not wish to share with me your email address.

So, possibly goodbye: hopefully not - whatever you decide is best for you.

Aw Ena, I know you posted this for Tom, but please don't leave the forum. I've found your posts very interesting, as I'm sure others have.

There used to be a Politics section on here which, for some strange reason, Brian disposed of, but it does say in the Rules that politics should not be discussed because to do so very often brings discord, and that's why Sports has it's own section.

I hope you'll reconsider but, if you don't, I wish you well for the future.

I will be the first person to admit that this place is a 'rough pub' there are a lot of fights, but at least you can be yourself, but so can other people, and it comes down to what you want, and unfortunately for some of us 'age' is catching up with us, and the Wigan World Tavern is for the younger generation, the younger generation of shithouses, taking over from our generation of shithouses.

And I hope we have taught these young uns how to shithouse properly, we have imparted the skills of 'shithouseness' we have shown them how to be a GIT!

And that is part of being British, if World War Three happens, and it is reckoned that it will happen in the next ten years, and then our younger generation of shithouses, will do our nation proud, just like in WW2, and we will kick the living poo out of those Ruskies

So Ena, I may not be far behind you in retiring from this maelstrom, of anti-social forum behaviour, however much fun it has been in the last 20yrs or so, but sometimes it is right to 'move on' move on to pastures new, move on to the Masters of Forum Life, the same way the grandees of Tennis and Golf move on into the Masters competitions of Tennis and Golf.

I have found a place where 'shithousing' is not allowed, you have to wear smart casual wear, and conduct yourself with 'aplomb' at all times, and I give this information with all the due respect that Brian and Ron of Wigan World deserve, after all they have built and doo have a very busy pub here, but some of us seniors, have got to hand over the mantle of 'shithousing' to the next generation.

So Ena, I now find solace, and contentment on Wigan Peers, but out of respect to Brian and Ron, I am not posting a link to the place, because I hate that sort of thing, I hate traitors, so if you are interested Ena, you will have to find it yourself

Yet another decent poster bids farewell mainly due to the posters who cannot post any thing interesting but set out to belittle other members of WW Ena I have followed your posts over the last few years and hope that in the not so distant future you start posting again

It’s inevitable that Brian and Ron will have to make a decision very soon re the future of the message boards. Either to close or to get shut of the ones who’ve broken it. My monies on the latter.
Ena, I completely understand your decision and support it. WW message boards will be the poorer without you. I spend time on Facebook and over the past few years have never come across an instance of the uncivilised behaviour that’s a regular feature on here.

As one of posters who has had to put up with all kinds of pathetic childish comments about seeing a doctor/take a pill etc together with the sarcasm of you know who, I agreed that something must be done by admin!

In my defence, I can give as much as I take!

ena malcup i find you one of the most interesting people on here and it would be a lot more boring with out you!!!!
when it comes to Politics on here i don't take some peoples opinion serious i think they like to wind people up but i also find it interesting how someone's mind works and i don't hold it against them I'm a great believer that 1 in 3 people are crazy any way
